Set to Be Largest International Share Fair for the UK Power Industry!
EIC Connect has come a long way since its inception in 2002.
Organised by the EIC (the Energy Industries Council), the leading trade association for UK companies supplying goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, EIC Connect was originally introduced as a small scale networking event for linking the major UK operators and contractors to suppliers in the energy industry, particularly in oil & gas.
Whilst successful, it soon became apparent that the only way for SMEs to grow was for them to learn how to export, and the EIC recognised that global companies also needed a forum where they could seek out new suppliers that want to understand how to work with them on overseas energy projects.
Today, EIC Connect is clearly the pre-eminent event for the UK power and oil & gas supply chains. Our last event, for example - EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2010 – attracted over 800 delegates, almost 100 exhibitors, and played host to 476 one-to-one meetings between supplier and contractor.
EIC Connect now rotates annually between Power and Oil & Gas in the UK. With power the focus for 2011, over US$1 trillion of new nuclear projects alone to be developed globally (Source: EIC DataStream) and electricity generation set to increase by over 80% in the next 25 years, there is clearly much business up for grabs.
